Kareena Kapoor is known in the Bollywood Film Industry for being extremely loyal to those she confesses to care about, talk to and be friends with. This is the reason Kareena could not say no to Salman Khan when he offered her the leading role in his new film, Main Aurr Mrs Khanna.

After a host of actresses refused the title role of Mrs Khanna, Kareena was persuaded into being in the film opposite Salman and Sohail Khan by both Salman and Kareena’s sister, Karishma Kapoor. Kareena told newspapers in India that she said yes to the film because she never says no to sister Karishma and because Salman is a very dear friend. However, with a number of A-Listers such as Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Deepika Padukone, Lara Dutta and Ayesha Takia all turning the role down, it remains to be seen if Kareena’s favour to her friend will pay off or not.

Rumours have suggested that the main reason for all these actresses saying no the title role is the subject matter of the film which covers a woman developing a passionate relationship with her husband’s brother; a topic extremely risqué even for today’s developing India!

Nevertheless, history has proved to us that despite many actresses refusing a role, a unusual, risky role can do wonders for any film actress. For example, Rani Mukherjee’s appearance as the sexy, college girl, Tina, in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was a role she acquired after Aishwarya Rai, Twinkle Khanna, Urmilla Matondkar, Tabu, Shilpa Shetty and Raveena Tandon all turned it down. However to this date, the role remains to be one of Rani’s most memorable and acclaimed.
