Poster released for Michael Jackson's concert film This Is It
The promotional poster for the eagerly-anticipated Michael Jackson: This Is It film has been revealed, ahead of the production's October release.
The graphic shows a montage of pictures, from the king of pop's final on-stage moments, merged together to portray a glowing figure of the late musician in a classic pose.
Tickets for the movie, which will be shown worldwide for a special two-week presentation, are due to go on sale from September 27.
"This film is a gift to Michael's fans. As we began assembling the footage for the motion picture we realized we captured something extraordinary, unique and very special," director Kenny Ortega says.
"It’s a very private, exclusive look into a creative genius’s world. For the first time ever, fans will see Michael as they have never seen him before – this great artist at work."
"This Is It may go down as the greatest concert that no one got a chance to see, but with this film, we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call and what I believe was going to be his master work.”
The movie, described as "raw, emotional, moving and powerful", has been fully funded by the Michael Jackson estate.
