well i know a kid named superman, his mother was unconscious from labor and his father was just wasted

at first we just joked around with his name for a while, maybe a month or so, and after that we just started calling him by his last name cause it was easier to go with

I think some people on this topic need to calm down, and others to take this a little more seriously. He can do what ever he wants. I strongly disagree with naming him Batman... who knows? Batman could be cancelled or something. Just saying. To people who don't know Batman, his name would be weird as hell.
I think you should name him Bruce Wayne (last name here).

wow i never though anybody had such strong feelings for other people who they dont know's children. I would name my kid batman.. how cool would that be?! and all this nonsense of "batman going away and all the hype"... OBVIOUSLY you havnt been paying attention to batman as a whole. Batman has been around since the early 60's Batman isnt going away. he will keep evolving. Who remembers batman in the early 90s? then mid 90's then late 90's then early 2000's mid and late 2000's. Batman changes with the tiimes. Hes  SUPER HERO that means hes gonna stay alive forever just like superman. SuperHeros dont die they evolve with the people they are seen by. this kid is gonna have a great childhood.. and if u think his parents are depriving him of something then you're an idiot.

Honestly, I think people are getting way too upset over it. People name their kids dumber names than Batman. I would love to be called Batman. Just to be able to say it in serious conversation would be worth any "embarrassment" it may cause. And as a child, who didn't play superhero games? When I was a child I would have enjoyed it. Any 5 year old would think it was cool. And if, when a teenager, they do get embarrassed by it, they can change their name. Why is every-one making such a big deal out of it? You don't know the kid. It's not your choice. Get over yourselves.
