Obviously, he didn't do it, as he disappeared.
in my personal opinion its the parents choice and if the mother agrees then its perfectly fine and if the child doesn't like it he can change it
I think that'd be cool as a nickname... but as a first name? But yeah. I think it's pretty cool.
I think it would be a good nick name... but as a first name no because of the amout of shit other kids will hang on him.
Who can say positively say that they have never had some type of "abuse" by kids at school when you were their age?
Just because he has an awesome name doesn't mean everyone will be out to get him.
"OMG, you're real name is BATMAN???"
"Naw, Bruce Wayne, but shh.....don't tell anyone ><"
LMAO

U better do it that kid will be a legend
soo how do we find out
this guy is awsome when i was like 8 i used to say when im 18 im changing my name to batman lol its a good idea it makes a change from all the boring common names ![]()
Hows about YOU change your name to JOKER, your son can be called BATMAN and your wife can be CATWOMAN?
crazy names make life more fun!
I think its awesome, hench why i joined the group on facebook.
i think you guys are taking this too seriously. honestly, how many people do you know that go by a nick-name other than what is on their birth certificate? i'm pretty sure this kid isn't going to suffer too much. a) because he could actually go by any other name, and b) it's not like he's naming the kid sponge bob. it's batman. batman is a badass. he won't get his ass kicked nearly as much as you think he's going to. i just hope that if he ever has a younger sibling they name him robin.
To be honest... I think Batman isn't that bad. Just don't call him that infront of his friends. Just call him Jack to his mates or something like that. Something normal. Maybe his middle name?
Ok, so he might get teased a little bit in school.
WHO DOESN'T?!
Everyone gets SOME degree of tortour in school.
It's NORMAL.
Get over it.
birth certificate?
I would love to be called Batman.
Being dead serious.
I don't see the problem.
Who are we to judge someone on their name. Its just a name
And Batman would be an awesome name.
So what if he gets bullied. It builds character. ![]()
I say what most seem to say. It's your kid, do what you like. The name could be much worse than Batman. Hell, my name is Brittany, and I hated having such a boring name growing up. There were always five other Brittany's in every class - which doesn't really boost a kid's willingness to believe "We're all special and unique." Regardless of what his name is, his personality is what counts. Some say that a person often tries to live up to their name, subconsciously or otherwise. Maybe having a super-hero name will inspire him to do good. Or maybe he'll aspire to prove the opposite of what his name implies. Regardless of his name, his surroundings and family are bound to influence his personality and lifestyles more than anything else.
Also, I'd love to see the birth certificate. My boyfriend would get a kick out of it.

I can understand the fandom but I can't understand the selfishness. To do that to the kid is really messed up. I would think as a parent he would want to give his child the best chance for success that he could. I never have heard of a "Batman Gates" or a "Bill Batman" and the slogan "Batman for president!" really doesn't scream win. As for any type of executive job we can surely count them out. But the entertainment biz always has room for "one more freak" and they really don't get much for their efforts (coming from a freak that didn't make all that much in the entertainment field). If this guy really wants to do something then why not opt to change his name and give the child a respectable name that would help the success of the kid? I actually knew a person named Cecil Pussy and he had a very rough childhood. Yes it made him stronger, but it really didn't give him an advantage in making his wallet filled. If anything it gave him a complex and to this day I am sure that he is still having some sort of "issue" from it. And where is the mother in all of this?
Just a simple thought.
P.S. What is he going to do if the kid is a female? Name her "Batgirl"?
MY SYMPATHY GOES FOR THE CHILD!
I have decided to name my child "DARTH VADER!" Freaking simp!
Just out of curiosity, why do you assume that the child's life is ruined? Realize that nothing is definite as far as how he is viewed. When I was a little girl, if I knew a kid named Batman, I'd likely have wanted to be his friend. My brother may have wanted to make fun of him. Another kid may have idolized him. Regardless, it all depends on who is around him, and how he presents himself. If he is obviously ashamed of it, other kids - and adults alike - will reflect this attitude. Similarly, if he is proud of being who he is, or confident - I don't see as the average child will "bust his chops" over it. Be realistic. Just because YOU or someone you know might make fun of the kid, don't assume that everyone else will along with you.
Well that tells me what kind of person you are. Only trailer trash would find that funny.
Trailer trash? Really? How about nearly any male in the world? And many females, including myself. How about anyone with a certain kind of sense of humor?
Trailer trash = irrelevant
where is the birth certificate - i signed up here so i could get a copy
Baby Batman will be great!
. BUT Honestly, I don't think a child should be named something such as this over a huge crowd of people. There will be bullies I have to say. -And Let's get that birth certificate in the next two months. ![]()
look. if he gets bullied, he gets bullied. my name is Wilfred [no joke] and i got bullied contantly though primary and most of secondary. but its only made me stronger. halfway through secondary i learned to ignore the bullies and insults and just get on with life. a month later, no more bullying about my name.
if 'batman' gets bullied then i bet he will deal with the imonent bullying that will come his way. but, like me, it will only make him stronger.
and if he really wants to he can change his name when talking to his friends.
i have friends that have had 3 kids.
the first they called mathew. he changed his name to matt. he made sure noone called him mathew.
the second roxanne. she changed it to roxy.
so for the third they decided to try and make the name they chose the name they kept. they called their third al. but even with a name like that he managed to get his friends to call him something like zoa.
the point i am trying to get at is that the bullying wont be a problem and that if needs be he can always introduce himself with a different name. thus him leading a normal life as opossed to if his name was john or something alike.
Obviously, he didn't do it, as he disappeared.
I'm going to go with this...
and, i'm also pretty sure the news would have covered it by now.
I think all the flame wars should stop, as its not worth it, as it won't happen now.
Woah you're all a bunch of daft twats.
Have you's not realised by now that nobody ever follows through with an "If blah blah many people join I will..."
Quit joining them and being suckered in you tits.
my name is Wilfred [
haahahaha wilfred!!!
