Bollywood living legends Hema Malini and Rekha are all set to release their new film, Sadiyaan, this Friday.

The film marks the debut of Glaswegian born, Ferena Wazeir opposite Shatrughan Sinha’s son, Luv Sinha, and also stars Rishi Kapoor in a supporting role.

Sadiyaan follows the story of a Hindu boy who falls in love with a Muslim girl. Chandni’s father asks Eshaan to convert to Islam in order to marry his daughter in a battle between love, religion and loyalty Eshaan finds out that his real parents, played by Hema Malini and Javed Sheikh, are actually two Muslims living in Pakistan. The film boasts of beautiful landscapes, glamorous costumes, elaborate dance sequences and a memorable soundtrack composed by Adnan Sami.

Hema Malini said in a recent interview that she loved being part of Sadiyaan because it gave her an opportunity to portray such a different role while still being in a commercial film. She also spoke of how there can never be any competition between herself and Rekha because of how close a friendship the two have shared together over the years.
