Madhuri ready to hit the big screen again?!

Madhuri Dixit is currently in Mumbai judging the fourth season of India’s answer to Strictly Come Dancing, Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa, and if reports are to be believed, she is currently sifting through scripts with the intention to sign another film.

Madhuri’s last film was the 2007, Aaja Nachle, which was produced by Aditya Chopra and also starred Konkana Sen Sharma, Kunal Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna. The film did not perform as well as expected and so Madhuri returned to her home in America without signing on another film.

However,  rumours have been doing the rounds that Madhuri has been approached by Anil Kapoor with a remake of the Hollywood teen hit, Freaky Friday, with Kapoor’s daughter, Sonam, playing the role previously seen performed by Lindsey Lohan.

Although there has been no confirmation of the project on Madhuri’s part, Indian critic and columnist Rajeev Masand reported on Love Bollywood on the BBC Asian Network that Juhi Chawla, Sri Devi and Rekha had all also been approached for the same role.
