QFW will continue to position Qatar as a leading cultural hub amongst the Arab nations, driving awareness and prestige through world-class events at an international level.

Qatar Fashion Week is a lifelong dream of Sheikha Hend Al Qassemi’s. Not only to bring a world class fashion show to Qatar, but to provide the opportunity for up and coming fashion designers to have a stage in which they can show their work on an international level. Sheikha Hend is also an advocate for encouraging women and young people to follow their dreams and fulfil their passions.

A highly accomplished women, Sheikha Hend holds many titles; a mother, wife, business women, fashion designer and artist. Sheikha Hend owns three companies in which she is actively involved including, Velvet Magazine, a high end luxury fashion magazine distributed throughout the GCC and Lebanon; Paris New York London Events Company; through which she hosts a series of fashion shows and events in the UAE and Sharjah and she also owns Heart In a Box Flowers and Chocolate Shop in Dubai. As an artist, Sheikha Hend specialises in oil paintings, embroidery, mosaics and fashion design. She has three fashion labels herself including Medici, The Little Prince and The Little Mermaid all based in the UAE.
