Rare Design Coffin, Promethean, Ordered to Bury Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson is about to be buried in a rare design coffin called Promethean that costs 25,000 U.S. dollars. While there has been no plan made by Michael Jackson's family on his funeral, TMZ reports that a rare design coffin called Promethean has been ordered to bury the late music performer's body. The coffin is said to be made of solid bronze, but is 14-carat gold-plated, with a hand-polished mirror finish and a flame blue velvet interior. Still according to TMZ, the coffin costs US$25,000. The stuff has been ordered from America's Batesville Casket Company on July 1. The coffin, which is identical to the one used to bury late R 'n' B performer James Brown back in 2006, is claimed as extremely rare. In the meantime, preparations are undergoing at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where memorial service for Michael will be held at 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 7. Some workers are photographed setting up signs in front of the building ahead of the highly anticipated service. A total of 17,500 free tickets will be handed to public for them to be able to attend the event. People who want to get the free tickets must log in to StaplesCenter.com, where registry has been opened beginning Friday morning, July 3 until Saturday evening at 6 P.M.
