Strike over! Three Blockbuster Hits in six weeks!
It’s now hard to believe that just six weeks ago, a two month long strike ended in which Indian film fans across the world were deprived of any new releases to feast their eye’s on at cinema halls worldwide.
Looking back now though, it seems the strike has done wonders for the industry in the sense that it has provided three blockbuster hits within a period of six weeks for the film industry. With New York, Kambakkht Ishq and Love Aaj Kal all proving to be record breakers at the box office, things could not be looking better for Bollywood.
Other than these three major hits, many smaller films, which did not receive great critical acclaim, such as Shortkut, Luck and Jashnn, have all proved to be making money at the cinema too. It seems as though Indian film fans across the world have begun appreciating just how much Indian cinema is a part of their lives and now with a whole string of high budget, star led films ready to be released over the next couple of months, expect to see the term ‘blockbuster’ used a lot more frequently!
Some of this month’s major releases include Kaminey, Life Partner, Agyaat and Kisaan.
